Brunch
Winter is finally over. No more begging venues to allow us to hang out for free. Let’s celebrate the warm weather with a great brunch and camaraderie among professional writers.
This event is open to 8 professional writers. We can probably add a body or two if you can’t make it until noon. These RSVP-only events fill up fast and typically get 100% attendance so please sign up early.
The plan: catch up on where we are and what our goals are for the rest of 2013.

Austin Round Table: Breaking into Professional Writing (or how you got there)
This event is open to 8 professional writers and those eager to break into professional writing, including website or print content creation, editing, reporting, and fact checking. Come prepared to talk about how you got where you are in your career and if you’re just starting out, how you plan to get to the next level.
To get an idea about how I hope to develop this group, please see “Mystery Meal” by Jeffrey Toobin from the January 14 issue of the New Yorker (Talk of the Town).
This specific event is geared toward those who work in or want to break into magazines, newspapers, ad copy, web content, B2B writing, PR and marketing.
